The bilateral ordinary-passport exemption from 28 May 2024 permits each stay of no more than 30 days and a cumulative 90 days in any 180-day period.
The Chinese Embassy says an appropriate visa is needed before entry for residence, employment, study, media activities or other activities requiring prior approval; the exemption is not an immigration shortcut.
For a work/business residence route, assess actual activity, current labour-law scope and the separate visa/residence conditions.
A work-authorisation requirement cannot be applied indiscriminately to all overseas remote services: current Article 1(4)(k) has a defined non-resident/outside-Georgia activity exception. That exclusion does not grant a longer visa-free stay or residence.
The 2024 passport-specific entry correction is not a new October policy. September Ordinance 443's full-validity insurance wording applies to visa applications; it does not by itself establish a universal new visitor-insurance threshold.
