Important notes
Have a contract or qualifying civil-law agreement for highly qualified work in Poland lasting at least six months.
Hold higher professional qualifications shown by at least a three-year higher-education cycle or, where accepted, comparable professional experience; regulated professions need any required recognition or authorisation.
Meet the 2026 gross salary requirement of more than PLN 13,355.34 per month, calculated as at least 150% of the national average remuneration used by the Polish authorities.
Submit the EU Blue Card application in MOS with the employer's electronic Annex No. 1, insurance and identity evidence, and the required fee; the foreigner is the party to the proceedings.
The permit is normally granted for three months longer than the employment period, for employment lasting more than six months, up to a maximum of three years.
Poland's official MOS guidance says the Blue Card includes EU mobility, unemployment, and EU long-term-residence advantages subject to conditions; verify the current MOS workflow before filing.
