Typical timeline / duration: 2-6 months
Important notes
Choose a qualifying Golden Residency investment route, such as establishing or investing in a company, owning qualifying property, holding bonds or shares, making an eligible deposit, or creating jobs.
The Golden Residency programme has a minimum capital threshold of OMR 200,000. The applicant must also use an eligible investment category and submit the matching ownership, company, deposit, bond, shareholding, or job-creation evidence.
Prepare proof of funds and ownership or investment, company and licensing documents where relevant, passport and identity documents, and any health, police, or authority clearances requested.
Submit through the official investment and residency channels and keep the underlying investment compliant for the duration of the permit.
Oman's Golden Residency is a qualifying-investment residence route and can provide renewable residency for up to ten years. It is not a general digital-nomad visa based only on overseas income.
The eligible investment categories, thresholds, renewal conditions, and family benefits should be rechecked in the official portal before committing funds, because the programme is new and route rules can change.
