Established retirement route for applicants aged 40+; SRRV Classic deposits depend on age and pension status.
Route overview
Typical timeline / duration: Multiple-entry, indefinite stay while SRRV conditions and PRA annual obligations are maintained; not citizenship.
Important notes
Principal age 40+. Classic pensioner deposits: US$25,000 at 40–49, US$15,000 at 50+; non-pensioners: US$50,000 and US$30,000 respectively.
Pensioner evidence: lifetime pension at least US$800/month alone or US$1,000/month with dependants. Courtesy is a separate qualifying category, not a universal cheaper Classic option.
Convertible tourist status covering at least 30 days; passport, application, medical/police evidence and bank certificate. The August 2025 checklist requires presence in the Philippines throughout processing.
Classic deposit covers the principal and two dependants; each extra dependant needs US$15,000. Eligible family includes spouse and unmarried children under 21.
The current age/deposit structure is already in PRA's August 2025 expanded-program checklist; it is not a newly verified post-August-2026 reform.
PRA exempts SRRV holders from BI annual reporting and ACR cards, but PRA's own annual fee continues. Classic annual fee is US$360 for principal plus two dependants, plus US$100 per extra dependant.
PRA lists pension/annuity tax and separate work/student visa benefits; this is not a blanket exemption for dividends or all foreign income, nor a waiver of DOLE employment requirements. Confirm AEP or exemption/exclusion certification before employment.
Preparation checklist
Confirm Classic or Courtesy eligibility with PRA before selecting a deposit amount.
Match age and pension status to the official deposit table and retain lifetime-pension evidence if applicable.
Verify convertible entry status and sufficient remaining validity before submitting in the Philippines.
Arrange accredited-bank remittance, identity, medical and police records with required English translation and authentication.
Budget deposit separately from processing fees, annual fees and any dependent costs.
Ask PRA and DOLE about work authorisation and obtain personal tax advice rather than assuming a universal exemption.
