Eligibility for mainland Chinese applicants: Mainland Chinese citizenship is not eligible for principal admission under the published programme list. Accompanying family members have separate conditions; this is not a blanket exclusion from Czech work or family permits.
The Digital Nomad Program's principal-applicant nationality list does not include mainland China. This is not a general remote-work route for mainland Chinese passport holders.
Principal applicants must hold a nationality on the Ministry's programme list; mainland China is not listed.
Qualifying IT or marketing specialists use the foreign-employer or Czech-licensed freelance branch, with the required education or experience and income evidence.
Programme inclusion and the subsequent visa or residence decision are separate; inclusion is not guaranteed.
The published family-member provisions can cover a dependent of a different nationality, subject to joint-application and consular-jurisdiction conditions.
Preparation checklist
Check principal nationality first; a mainland Chinese passport alone does not qualify for this programme.
For a dependant, check the family-member and competent-consulate rules rather than assuming the principal nationality list decides the case.
For ordinary employment, assess the separate Employee Card or Blue Card route with a qualifying employer.
