Admission to a full-time higher-education programme at an approved Danish institution.
Proof of sufficient funds: DKK 7,426 per month at the 2026 level, unless another accepted funding basis applies.
Passport, admission evidence, application fee, biometrics, and the SIRI application documents; the institution normally completes its part of the application.
For some programmes, confirm the current rules on work rights and accompanying family before applying.
The normal processing time shown by SIRI is two months, with up to three months if further information is needed.
A residence and work permit for a state-approved higher-education programme can allow eligible spouse/partner and children to accompany the student.
