Have a Hungarian employer and a qualifying employment relationship, normally supported by a preliminary agreement or employment document.
Provide a valid passport, application, administrative-fee receipt, proof of accommodation, and a certified translation of professional qualifications where the job requires one.
Meet the current role, nationality, labour-market, and employer conditions for the selected employment residence category.
Complete the single-permit procedure and any consular or Enter Hungary steps required for the applicant's nationality and filing location.
The ordinary employment residence permit is generally valid for up to two years and may be extended by up to one year, without exceeding three years in total under the stated basis.
This route is employer- and role-linked. Hungary's separate guest-worker rules and nationality restrictions should not be treated as if they automatically suspend every employment residence category.
