Important notes
Define a genuine Moroccan business, investment, or self-employed activity and collect the company, commercial, tax, address, and funding evidence that matches the proposed activity.
Choose the correct entry and residence basis with the Moroccan administration; a visitor card is only appropriate where the applicant can live from independent resources and undertakes not to perform work requiring authorisation.
Provide passport, lawful-entry or stay-visa evidence where required, accommodation, photographs, criminal-record and medical documents, proof of means, and documents establishing the nature of the business activity.
Do not start regulated or paid activity until the relevant authorisation is granted and recorded on the residence documentation.
Morocco does not offer one universal self-employed visa. The foreigner-stay framework distinguishes visitors, students, and people who have obtained authorisation for a professional activity; the business facts determine the route.
A company registration or investment plan alone does not automatically create unrestricted residence or work rights, so the residence card and activity authorisation must match.
