For strong profiles; not employer-tied but high bar. Lower employer-dependence than Skilled Worker, but harder to qualify for.
Route overview
Tech, research, arts, or culture endorsement
Typical timeline / duration: 2-6 months
Important notes
Be aged 18 or over and work in an eligible field such as science, engineering, medicine, digital technology, or arts and culture.
Usually obtain endorsement from the relevant authorised endorsing body, or qualify through a listed prestigious prize.
Submit the endorsement evidence and then the visa application, including passport, biometrics, and the applicable fee and Immigration Health Charge.
Apply for the visa within three months of the endorsement letter where endorsement is used.
Global Talent is not tied to one employer and can lead to settlement. Many research, engineering, medicine, digital-technology endorsement or qualifying-prize bases use a three-year settlement period, while some Arts Council England or Tech Nation Exceptional Promise bases use five years.
An endorsement does not itself guarantee the visa, and the evidence rules differ by field and endorsing body.
